Relaxing Private-Room Lunch at Hatagoya in EBISTA Nishinomiya

We visited “Hatagoya” in the Ebista specialty shopping area at Hanshin Nishinomiya Station.

It’s a tatami-style restaurant where you take off your shoes before entering, and all rooms are private, so it feels nice and secluded. You can relax and enjoy your meal.

Dishes at “Shunsen no Bou Hatagoya”

You wait while the kamameshi rice cooks right in front of you.
*It takes about 20 minutes until it’s ready

The staff will let you know when it’s finished cooking, so until then, resist the urge to open the lid😆

You can choose your favorite kamameshi from chicken, conger eel, octopus, and sea bream♪

The crispy browned rice at the bottom was so fragrant, I couldn’t stop eating～

In addition to the main kamameshi,

it comes with a two-kind sashimi assortment, tempura, seasonal simmered dish, small bowl of soba, miso soup, and pickles😀

Four types of tempura: shrimp, pumpkin, shishito pepper, and eggplant

The crispy tempura made me imagine pouring sauce over it and turning it into a tendon tempura rice bowl (^o^)

Hatagoya’s specialty, Shirasagi tofu

I ate it expecting regular tofu, but it was more like sesame tofu, with a sticky, smooth texture.
It even felt a little dessert-like～

It’s a nice set meal where you can enjoy a little bit of everything, including sashimi, chawanmushi, and small side dishes😀

For the rice, you could choose between seasoned mixed rice and plain white rice.
I love seasoned mixed rice, but it was sold out, so I ended up with white rice～😂 Too bad

Both the Kamameshi Gozen and Hatagoya Gozen come with “coffee or juice.”
We were able to enjoy coffee after the meal and spend a leisurely lunchtime.
