Unbeatable Value Daily Set Meal at Mimatsu Under the Hankyu Tracks【Nishitsu Gourmet】

I visited “Mimatsu,” a casual dining spot in Koshimizu-cho, just off Route 171 under the Hankyu railway overpass.

The exterior has so much character, and I’d always been curious because it looked like the kind of place Goro from Solitary Gourmet would stop by～(^^)/ When I went inside, there were obanzai side dishes lined up at the counter, and it had that family-run feel!!
Exactly what I was hoping for～!!

It gets busy around noon with office workers and regulars, so I recommend going around 1 p.m.
At night, it seems to turn into an izakaya🍺

Whaaaat!!! So cheap😆 With this many items, plus four kinds of side dishes, 500 yen is unbeatable value.

The omakase set meal is exactly what it sounds like: leave it up to the restaurant～

What comes out is part of the fun～ only the owner knows😀

A small serving of curry and udon… isn’t that just perfect?? The small size is the key

It totally satisfies that “I just want a little bit” craving😍

It can become curry rice or curry udon too. Seriously the best!!

The curry was lightly spicy, and the udon broth was on the sweeter side～

Kiriboshi daikon, simmered hijiki, simmered chicken liver, and simmered daikon

It also came with a cream croquette～

You get to enjoy a little bit of everything, so it’s super satisfying～
Warm, gentle flavors. Homemade food really is the best～

Simmered Mackerel Set Meal 500 yen

The simmered mackerel had a sweet seasoning, with just the right mackerel flavor that makes you want more rice!

For the small side dishes, you can choose two from the obanzai lined up at the counter～♪

Every dish was filled with warmth and gentle flavor, and the taste, balance, and price were all more than satisfying.
