Nishinomiya City’s tourism mascot Miyatan went to Yusuhara Town in Kochi Prefecture(^^)/
(This information was provided by Iroha-san. Thank you!)
Yusuhara Town and Nishinomiya City entered into a friendship city partnership on March 24, 1991. That makes 31 years this year! Today is the anniversary(*^-^*)

Wow!
Looks like Miyatan has a friend who looks just like him(^^)/
It’s the cloud fairy Kumoppy!
They really look alike! Well, their creator is the same person, after all

Kumoppy lives in the “Library Above the Clouds,” whose exterior and interior were carefully designed by Kengo Kuma, the architect behind the New National Stadium(^^)/
Captured from the Yusuhara Town website
Even the exterior is absolutely gorgeous~
I wonder what kinds of books Miyatan and Kumoppy read while spending time there~(*^-^*)

Looks like they also rode a broom to the karst plateau, said to be one of Japan’s three great karst landscapes!

Yusuhara Town, located near the source of the Shimanto River, known as Japan’s last clear stream, is incredibly rich in nature!
Because of that, the town is also moving forward with efforts to use renewable energy, so they took a commemorative photo in front of a wind power turbine(^^)/

Maybe there was still some snow left~
Such an adorable two-shot(^^♪
Glad you got to reunite with such a wonderful friend, Miyatan!
You can see how Yusuhara was welcomed in Nishinomiya here
Finally
The more you look into Yusuhara Town, the more you realize what a nature-rich and charming town it is!
It’s like this↓
I wanna go there~(^^)/
※Iroha-san, thank you for the tip!!
