We Tried the Coarse-Ground Hamburg Steak and Daily Pasta at Shunsai Bistro & Bar GATO Near Otemae University on Route 2【Nishitsu Gourmet】

I went to have lunch at 旬菜ビストロ＆バル GATO, located by the Morigu intersection along National Route 2.

Apparently, “GATO” means “cat” in Spanish😺

Inside the restaurant, there were lots of cute cat photos and ornaments on display♪

The Food at “旬菜ビストロ＆バル GATO”

Daily Pasta Lunch（Today’s pasta, salad, soup, homemade bread）1,000 yen

Today’s pasta

• ＜Tomato＞Yellowtail, potato, nanohana
• ＜Oil＞Small shrimp, enoki mushrooms, broccoli
• ＜Cream＞Minced chicken, spring cabbage, spinach

You can choose from three types※The pasta menu changes depending on the day
They all use seasonal ingredients, so it was hard to choose…

Out of the three, I decided on the tomato-based pasta with yellowtail, potato, and nanohana!!

The pasta itself was quite generous, and even better, it was packed with ingredients!!
The yellowtail had a tuna-like feel, and the slight bitterness of the nanohana gave the pasta a grown-up taste😀
The potatoes were cut into small pieces, and their fluffy texture was really nice.

Two pieces of homemade bread😀 The round bread had a soft pumpkin sweetness that spread through your mouth.

Lunch comes with salad and soup.

The homemade daikon radish and onion dressing was so good, I feel like I could eat salad endlessly with it(^^)/

The soup was full of vegetables too.

Coarse-Ground Hamburg Steak Lunch

It was so juicy that the meat juices poured out the moment I cut into it, and the homemade demi-glace sauce went with the hamburg steak so perfectly it’s hard to put into words.
I could eat endless bowls of rice with this😋※Free rice refills

Of course the hamburg steak was great! But the vegetables on the side were amazing too.

The carrots were nicely glazed and had just the right sweetness😍
The potatoes were fluffy and soft.
