The “Heiden and Haiden Completion Commemorative Event,” celebrating the shrine’s restoration after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, will be held at Oichi Hachiman Shrine on Sunday, April 17, and it looks like there will also be a celebratory danjiri parade.
Here’s the danjiri at Oichi Hachiman Shrine that we came across before↓
We got a flyer↓

The back shows the path of the restoration↓

You can see how the shrine was gradually repaired, including through crowdfunding.
Apparently, it had been the long-held wish of the late former chief priest!
By the way, what are the Heiden and Haiden that were completed this time? They’re these buildings↓
A building where heihaku (offerings to the deity) and other offerings are presented and received
What is a Haiden?
A building where priests conduct ceremonies and worshippers offer prayers
In other words, the shrine buildings themselves are now sparkling new!
See!!
This is what it looked like before↓

The taikodai float that will appear in the parade (the danjiri we spotted on the Nakatsuhama Line 😊) was already being prepared!
It sounds like a boat-shaped danjiri and the danjiri from Namaze Kotai Shrine will also appear!
Here’s the map↓
The address is 3-31 Wakayamacho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.
In Closing
Just hearing the word “danjiri” somehow gets you excited!
There won’t be any food stalls, but it seems sacred sake will be served!
For the danjiri operation schedule and other details, enlarge the flyer above or check the shrine’s Facebook page (→here) 🙋
