I heard the moss phlox at the Landslide Museum in Nigawa was at its best, so I went to check it out(^^)/
But! This notice totally caught my eye↓↓↓

T-Tutankhamun? From Egypt? Peas??
When I looked it up, it seems that when Tutankhamun’s tomb was excavated in 1992, pea seeds were found. The excavator brought them back, got them to sprout, successfully cultivated them, and they spread around various places as “Tutankhamun’s peas”~though whether that’s true or not is unclear…

The flowers of Tutankhamun’s peas look like this~They’re not gold, huh~

The pea flowers used in the green pea rice everyone eats are white, so the flower color is different!

The pods aren’t green either, they’re purple! There’s something romantic about this purple!(^^)!
I never imagined I’d come across Egypt in the plaza at the Landslide Museum in Nigawa(^_^;)

Oh right, the main thing I went to see was the moss phlox. The newly planted area was super beautiful(^^)/

Up close, the flowers look like this(^^)/

Go up the stairs on the left side of the Landslide Museum,

and if you walk through the second gate, you’ll see moss phlox blooming on the left and Tutankhamun’s peas blooming on the right(^^)/
If wild boars get in, they’ll dig up the flowers, so make sure to follow the rules for opening and closing the gates!!

Nemophila are also blooming around this time, and it’s a really lovely sight~(^^)/They’re not blooming all over the whole area, though… Photos taken on April 20, 2022
