The way it was introduced on Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai as botamochi you can drink and wet ohagi makes it sound incredibly intriguing:
“Itotome no Botamochi”(It is no longer sold under the name “Itotome no Botamochi”)
This is sold at the Kyotango supermarket YAMASHO Itotome EAT shop, so it’s not exactly easy to go buy!
But you can actually buy that “Itotome no Botamochi” right here in Nishinomiya (^^)/

Ta-da! Where do you think this is?
The answer is “North Montagne” in Yamaguchi-cho (^^)/
This is the place where Esquerre used to be. The company behind Super YAMASHO Itotome EAT shop has opened a new bakery here, and it seems they’re running it with the same products and even the same staff.
Which means!

(Photo from that time: It is no longer sold under the name “Itotome no Botamochi”)
You can buy it here (^^)/The botamochi photographed by Nishitsu was actually a gift from the president of YAMASYO! (^^)!

It looks like this !(^^)! Just as you’d expect from something described as botamochi you can drink or wet ohagi, it’s so soft, and the sweetness of the azuki beans is gentle too.
It’s so soft you might honestly think you could drink it if you had a tapioca straw though you probably can’t actually drink it (^_^;) But I did use a spatula to put it on a plate!

Nishitsu’s president isn’t big on sweets and doesn’t eat much a system many women would envy, but
he polished off two pieces of “Itotome no Botamochi” just like that! That’s a big deal!!!
And here’s another bit of good news!!
For everyone in southern Nishinomiya who thought Yamaguchi-cho was too far away!
Believe it or not, YAMASHO has opened at Ashiya Station too (^^)/
Besides “Itotome no Botamochi”, they apparently also carry a lineup of products focused on organic ingredients, so be sure to check this location out too !(^^)!
