That was on the way back from shooting at the Anne’s Rose Church…
As I was heading down the hill, I spotted a building that looked like something out of a Ghibli anime❗

This! Doesn’t it kind of look like the head of a Giant Warrior or one of the robots from Laputa? !(^^)!

When I got closer, it looked like some kind of entrance. I wonder where it leads?
The ivy growing all over it gives it such a Laputa vibe(^^♪
The old staircase, the mysterious feel of not knowing what the building was used for, and all the overgrown grass — it’s totally Laputa!

The water endlessly flowing in the middle is a mystery too~

New iron pipes have been added to the old-looking pipes and railings…

There’s also something that looks like a fairly new lamp. Does it light up at night, or is it there to signal some kind of emergency?
While imagining all kinds of things and observing this Nishinomiya Laputa spot, I found a tree that looked Laputa-ish!!!

And then I found out that this place is the Koyo Water Distribution Station of the Nishinomiya City Waterworks and Sewerage Bureau(^^)/
Naturally, it’s off-limits, so you can’t go inside!
There were just too many mysteries, so I contacted the Nishinomiya City Waterworks and Sewerage Bureau~
“What kind of facility is the Koyo Water Distribution Station?”
“It is a place where the tap water everyone drinks is stored in underground tanks and distributed to residents.”
That’s what they told us(^^)/So it wasn’t Laputa at all! But the atmosphere is what matters(^^)/
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 2-35 Koyoen Nishiyamacho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
