We went to check out what “CLUB NISHINOMIYA”, a campsite in Yamaguchi-cho Funasaka just 15 minutes from central Nishinomiya, is like!
Who knew there was a campsite this close where you can fully enjoy nature and get excited whether you’re with your kids or camping solo? 😂
And they’re still developing the place, so it looks like it’s only going to get more and more fun from here! 🎉
So, let us show you what we saw!

Here’s the entrance! (Doesn’t it look a bit like Jurassic Park?) Let’s head inside! 😆 So exciting!

What kind of place is it?

Once you enter, you first head to reception. Go up the gentle slope toward the beige tent on the right.

At reception, you’ll receive a file. It includes a site map, rules, rental item information, and more. ⛺️ You can drive your car right up to the campsite where you’ll pitch your tent! 🚗

This is the play area near reception. Apparently, the center of the wooden deck is a place to dispose of charcoal. It’s the kind of spot where you’d want to chat while watching the flames flicker. 😊

There was a swing! It’s super long! 😳 Kids will love it, of course, but adults will get just as excited! You can feel like Heidi from Heidi, Girl of the Alps. There are also other children’s play equipment, trampolines, and slacklines that you can use for free!

Now, finally, here’s the tent area! This is the permanent campsite area. It’s a place where you can enjoy camping even if you come empty-handed. 😍 The first spot has a stylish transparent tent! At night, it looks like it could turn into a planetarium.

This is the second permanent tent. When we opened it up, it was roomier and more comfortable inside than expected! There’s also a table inside.
This is the family site. The areas are loosely separated, which feels just right. There’s plenty of space to park your car, pitch a tent, and spread out a BBQ set. (The site size varies depending on the number of people.) There’s also a dedicated solo camping zone. Apparently, many people have monthly contracts and are creating their own personal campsites. (Some of the sites were really elaborately set up… 😆)
This is the farmland zone! It’s a quiet site at the very back of the campground. The photo angle isn’t great so you can’t see it, but the view is amazing! We could see all the way toward Takarazuka. 👀

There are also two toilets, one near the entrance and one around the middle. Two water tanks were also set up.
Things you can buy and rent

Firewood was being sold behind reception. A must if you’re having a BBQ!

There’s even a Cafe & Bar!

Even on days when staff aren’t there, you can buy food and drinks through an unmanned sales setup. Curry, gyoza, cup ramen, various alcoholic drinks, juice, and more… (There was also a food truck, but it seems to be taking a break for now.)

This is “Yuru Farm”, a direct vegetable sales corner from nearby farmers. Apparently, this area is known for onions and garlic. Perfect for adding one more item to your BBQ!

Apparently, they recently started offering tent sauna use too! Until the end of July, you can use it at a special campaign price, which is a great deal. 😳

Here’s what it looks like inside the sauna tent! A sauna surrounded by nature… what a luxury. 😂

And amazingly, you can ride a buggy! Apparently, kids love it. 💛 You can even drive it on public roads. (Driving is slow, and you need a license to operate it.) The price is 2,000 yen for one hour, and there are also 10-minute trial rides and plans for two hours or more. (Apparently, you can even buy a buggy!)
Where is it?
It’s right after you pass through the Banzan Tunnel!
The address is 1826-1 Yamaguchi-cho Funasaka, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
By the way, from around Hankyu Shukugawa Station, where the Nishitsu office is located, it takes about 20 minutes by car (according to Google Maps)! That’s almost like just going out shopping, right?
How do you get there?
Please see the official website’s Access page. You can get there not only by car or motorcycle, but also by the Sakura Yamanami Bus.
This is what the entrance from the public road looked like. From here, you keep going downhill until you reach the facility entrance. (It’s quite a downhill drive, so you might wonder, “Am I going the right way?” along the way, but just keep going.)
Finally
It already looks like plenty of fun, but apparently they’re still developing all kinds of new areas. 💛 Reservations are currently accepted only via LINE. But! They’re apparently working on a system that will show reservation availability, aiming to have it ready sometime in July. So we asked about the current reservation status.
・For Sunday day camping, there is availability even during June.
・On weekdays, you can currently enjoy spacious sites with plenty of room (^ ^)
・Monthly contracts are temporarily not being accepted. (They plan to expand this in the future.)
That’s the latest! How about spending this summer in nearby nature? 😊 You can check the fees on the official website’s Camp page.
