This July, I went to try the elegant afternoon tea set at “Restaurant Poplar” in Kwansei Gakuin Kaikan, which reopened after renovations〜😊💕

I’ll introduce the three-tier afternoon tea set from the top tier〜🙋↓

Here’s what the apple-shaped cake, the Big Apple, looks like when you cut into it〜!
It’s colored like apple skin and flesh😂 There’s even a little bit of cooked apple inside! It may be small, but it’s so detailed〜😋

Look, look!! The red velvet cake is a cute little bag💕
With brownie and cheese cream, just this one piece makes you feel like you’re shopping in New York〜😍♪ Though I’ve never been〜

The hamburger is small, but it’s meaty and really satisfying〜! I could get hooked on this😋!!

This is the clam chowder pudding. I thought this might be a dessert too, but it’s actually a pudding flavored like clam chowder lol
There’s scallop on top, and it was such a new experience that I was impressed〜✨

And there’s even more! There’s another plate too〜↓

There are two kinds of scones: plain and herb. Both are super crisp♪
With plenty of sauce and fruit, you can enjoy them in such a luxurious way〜😋

Tea free flow means they come around to brew recommended teas for you〜!

Right after I arrived, since it was hot, they asked, “Would you like iced tea?” and poured this for me〜↓
Champagne😳!?、、、I was surprised for a second lol
It was a super refreshing iced herbal tea😊
After that, they came by at just the right timing to brew their recommended teas〜!

Restaurant Poplar Information

It’s located inside Kwansei Gakuin Kaikan, near the main gate of Kwansei Gakuin University. （It was my first time, so I got a bit lost, but the entrance is outside the university〜💦）
You enter from here〜🙋

The restaurant is immediately on the right after you enter the building.

The greenery visible from the windows is so soothing〜💕

Soon, once the weather is nice enough to sit outside, they’ll be opening the terrace seats too〜♪
I feel like I could chat there for hours〜😆
