“Hankyu Train Design” has won the 2022 Good Design Long Life Design Award〜
Quoted from Railway Vehicle [Hankyu Train Design] | Award Winners List | Good Design Award
The Good Design Award is an award given to a wide range of things, including products and architecture. It recognizes design as anything people have created to achieve some kind of ideal or purpose. Rather than ranking things as better or worse, it is a system that encourages new discoveries, shares them with society, and connects them to the next act of “creation.” It is also said to be one of the world’s four major design awards.
This year, 21 entries received the Good Design Long Life Design Award, along with “Hankyu Train Design.”
Other winners included the familiar “bag closure” used to fasten bread bags, and “fukin” dishcloths from Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, which also has a shop in Gardens.

The timeless “maroon color” seems to have been one of the points that earned the award.
The headmarks read “I L♡VE BRAVES,” “Nishinomiya Stadium,” and “Limited Express Sumaura-koen ↔︎ Umeda.” You can really feel the history〜
We hope Hankyu trains will continue to serve as everyone’s trusted way to get around♪
