The Kurakuen Halloween event “Kurakuen Happy Halloween” will be held on Sunday, October 30.
What kind of event is it? Kids dress up in costume around Kurakuen and say the magic words “Trick or Treat” to receive sweets from 58 shops. It may be one of the biggest in Nishinomiya.

Full costumes are great, and just a small costume accent is fine too.
Tips for Getting Lots of Sweets
“Kurakuen Happy Halloween” takes place in the Shukugawa and Kurakuen area.
It’s quite spread out.
Nishi2 will share some tips on how kids can get lots of sweets at this event!
[Tip 1] Memorize the Event Map
To get lots of sweets, you need to know “which shops are giving them out” and “where those shops are.”
Here’s the event map↓

Nishi2 has secretly prepared a printable PDF of this map.
There are 58 participating shops!
The shops are scattered apart from each other, so plan your route carefully. For kids, thinking about that is part of the fun.
If you accidentally go into a shop that isn’t giving out sweets, it could be a nuisance.
Here’s what you’ll want to remember!
The marker is this↓

Shops with this flag are the ones where you can get sweets.
[Tip 2] Memorize the Times When Sweets Are Available
The times when sweets are available differ by shop.
Shop schedule↓

Once timing gets involved, it becomes more difficult.
It might be a good idea to print the map and start planning by writing down the times each shop is open for sweets.
Points to watch out for:
- Should you prioritize shops where sweets are only available in the morning?
- Routes that everyone is likely to think of may end up with long lines.
[Tip 3] Follow the Rules and Have Fun
If you don’t follow the rules, you might not be able to enjoy the event, or there could be accidents, injuries, or someone may get upset.
- Even during each shop’s distribution time, candy distribution will end once supplies run out.
- Please make sure children are accompanied by a guardian.
- Please follow traffic rules and walk around safely.
- To avoid causing trouble for non-participating shops, please only visit shops with the flag.
Other than that, please follow the guidance of the people watching over everyone on the roads, and enjoy Kurakuen Happy Halloween!
Well then!
Happy Halloween
