Yesterday’s Yakuyoke Grand Festival food stalls were packed and they’re back today

We received photos of the food stalls at the Yakuyoke Taisai (Great Festival for Ward­ing Off Evil) held at Mondo Yakujin Tokoji on January 18!

It feels like the number of stalls is back to pre-COVID levels. There weren’t many last year or the year before, but it looks like about as many people came as before that.

Since this is the Year of the Rabbit, they had this suuuuper cute rabbit picture on display. From Nishitsu-dori’s point of view, the fact that they also drew a bird gets major points!! Yakujin-san is the best♪

The candles are really beautiful tooー✨

They look like they’re having fun. What is kaiten-yaki? Is it the same as Ebisu-yaki??
I mean, I totally know, though

It seems they arrived a bit late, so the monkey performance wasn’t happening anymore. If you want to see it, going a little earlier is probably best.

The Akashiyaki stall that comes every year from Kiyoshikojin. Kokuren recommends it.

If you’re going today, definitely check it out. Oh no! Now I want to eat some.

Apparently there was also one kebab stall, like the ones that had lots of stalls during the New Year’s visits and Ebessan at Nishinomiya Shrine.
