When it comes to cake, it has to be Tsumagari… so delicious (*^_^*) I went to 
try their seasonal fresh cakes.
At Café Kabutoyama, located on the second floor of Tsumagari’s main shop, you can enjoy delicious coffee together with cakes sold only at the main store (^^♪
By the way, Café Kabutoyama is a sister shop of Mikage Danke.

Go up the stairs next to Tsumagari’s main shop, and you’ll find the entrance.

And even the washstand had gorgeous wood carving and actress-style lights…
They were also selling coffee (^_^)

It’s true that I visited around lunchtime on a weekday, but the place filled up right away.
How to Order Cake
After all, the best way is to see the cakes in person and choose!
- Go down to the first floor of Café Kabutoyama
- Choose your cake from the display case at Tsumagari on the first floor
- Remember the name of the cake
- Tell the café staff the name of the cake you remembered
Since I’m not confident in my memory, I had the staff write it down for me, but when there are lots of customers, it’s hard to ask, so I’ll do my best to remember next time!

The Seasonal Fresh Cakes We Had This Time
The staff recommended these:
Peach shortcake (As expected from Tsumagari’s shortcake. It’s packed with peaches, but the whipped cream and fluffy sponge still hold their own. All the flavors blend together beautifully for an exquisite taste 💓), and
Fig tart (Figs are in season for such a short time. The fresh figs and tart crust come together, and the rich fig flavor spreads through your mouth.), and
The classic Mont Blanc (Mont Blanc tastes especially good in autumn. Beneath the rich chestnut cream, it has a mille-feuille-like feel with all kinds of flavors layered together.) !(^^)!
We spread them out across the table, and Niko and I ate them while saying, “They really are delicious, aren’t they?”
As a bonus, they came with Tsumagari cookies (#^.^#) Lucky!
Final Thoughts
The whole time I was writing this article, looking at the cake photos made my mouth remember the taste all over again (#^.^#) Tsumagari’s cakes really are delicious. Personally, I think Tsumagari’s cakes are a Nishinomiya specialty. I’d love to do a feature on Tsumagari sometime (^^♪
