Welcome to “Nishitsu Supermarket Gourmet,” a section where we try prepared foods and bento boxes you can buy at supermarkets around Nishinomiya and turn them into gourmet articles.
This time, we picked up a “SAKANA Bento” from “咲菜”, which reopened inside Ito-Yokado last year.

Since it had the shop’s name on it and looked like one of their classic bentos, I decided to go with this one!
Just look at this! You really can’t go wrong with a bento from a deli-style shop like this!
咲菜 was also a popular choice in our previous survey, “What is your favorite prepared food shop in Nishinomiya?” ↓
This is the dashimaki tamago, which was also popular in the survey. When you lift it with chopsticks, it’s soft and jiggly. Take a bite, and the dashi broth spreads out with such a lovely aroma. The gentle seasoning is so comforting.
These meatballs are juicy! The vinegar is mild, and they’re sweet and easy to eat. These were also praised as delicious in the survey 👍
This is a stir-fry with onion, carrot, green pepper, pork, and cabbage. It has a gentle flavor, kind of like happosai.
Tonkatsu is tender too. The sauce is on the sweeter side, and the bite-sized pieces make it easy to eat♪
Every single side dish is the star!
This time I bought a bento, but now I want to try their other prepared dishes too!
By the way, there’s also a 咲菜 location just south of JR Nishinomiya Station. According to the Nishitsu survey, that shop lets you eat inside, has mini rice bowls that are just right for a quick bite, and apparently their miso soup is excellent too. Also, according to the official website, they have around 80 different items lined up during peak hours! I’d definitely have trouble choosing～～～
