Starting today, 7/6, a service called “Threads,” the Instagram version of Twitter, has launched, so I just made an account.
Here it is↓

It looks so much like Twitter!!
What is Threads?
There were apparently some recent viewing restrictions on Twitter, which caused quite a stir. This service called “Threads” is apparently being talked about as something that “could become an alternative to Twitter.”

Nishitsu’s Twitter is used for real-time notifications when new articles are published, as well as for updates focused on “Nishinomiya right now,” such as earthquakes and heavy rain. We’ll keep using it the same way going forward, but for the time being, I’m thinking we’ll use Threads in a similar way too. Eventually, I’d like to give it its own flavor.

It seems that posting is basically only possible from a smartphone. You can view posts from a PC, though. Oh, and you need an Instagram account to get started. Threads seems to be positioned kind of like a service attached to Instagram
Normally, Twitter is set up so that when an article goes live, it automatically gets tweeted, but it doesn’t look like there are any linked tools for Threads yet. So if we have to do it manually, updates might not be perfect. If something like that becomes available, someone please let us know.
Update:
Apparently Threads has reached 30 million registered users. “We’ve got to ride this big wave,” and Nishitsu is now at 237 followers. Thank you! It really does feel like there are a lot of Instagram users.
