Two Nishinomiya shops have made it into Netorabo Research Team’s ranking of popular “udon” restaurants in Hyogo Prefecture.

It looks like “本格手打 いわしや” in Yamaguchicho Shimoyamaguchi ranked 7th!
The survey date was June 13, and it covered udon restaurants in Hyogo Prefecture with at least 100 reviews. Specifically, the ranking was apparently created based on Google Reviews’ “user ratings,” “number of reviews,” and “price filter.”

Super thiiiick noodles!!!
Firm and wonderfully chewy.
The egg is fluffy in the thick, ginger-infused broth. It’s the kind of steaming hot udon that warms you right up.

Final Thoughts
It’s pretty amazing that two udon shops from Nishinomiya made it into the top 10 for all of Hyogo Prefecture! There’s often a line at Tsurukame, isn’t there〜. I’ve also had the kitsune udon at Iwashiya when I went to see a waterfall, and it was incredibly good! I remember it really hitting the spot〜
