Today, July 12, the summer festival is being held at Hiyoshi Shrine, and it’s bustling with a huge crowd. Here’s a look at what it’s like there～.

They’ve got red-and-white banners up～.
Of course they have juice, and for the adults they’re also selling beer and lemon sour. Still, beer for 250 yen and lemon sour for 150 yen is cheap～.
The toys and snacks are super lively. You don’t see many 10-yen dagashi candies these days, so prices this low feel like a miracle. Toys start from 50 yen too.
Cotton candy for 50 yen?! It’s like a bargain market.
Choo-choo ice pops are 20 yen, and popcorn seems to be 50 yen too～.
Yo-yo fishing is also 50 yen per try.
Everyone’s favorite frankfurters are 100 yen. Kitty-chan is riding on the frankfurter
Apparently they added 60 bottles of ramune, and they sold out in 10 minutes.
They also had a children’s mikoshi at 4 p.m. Looks like a fun atmosphere.
Here’s the mikoshi. The shrine itself is said to have over 400 years of history. The trees are really thick too.

At Hiyoshi Shrine, when there’s a festival, the chief priest from Koshikiiwa Shrine apparently comes over. The Tsuto Otsukacho Neighborhood Association and Ayabacho Neighborhood Association are part of the supporters’ association, and the festival stalls are run by the neighborhood association members, giving it a small and cozy feel～. It runs until 8 p.m. And it’ll be held tomorrow, the 13th, too! If you’re nearby, definitely stop by～.
