It looks like both locations of the karaage shop “Kogane” have been closed for quite a while recently.

This is the Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi location along the Yamate Kansen road. We were told the shutter has been down since around July.

This one has also had its shutter down since 7/1.

Area Around Kogane Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi
Across the street is the road that leads toward Geibun.
If you go this way, you’ll find the former Nafco site, EDION, and other places.
In the opposite direction, you pass under the elevated Hankyu Imazu Line tracks and reach Gardens.
We tried calling, but an announcement said the phone was not connected to any device. The Naruo location did ring, but no one picked up.

As you can see, it says, “We will be closed from 6/30 to 7/15 due to circumstances.”
However, as of 7/16, the shop was still not open.
We checked Kogane’s official website.
It was completely blank like this, and none of the pages would display. Since it appears to be under basic authentication, they may have intentionally made the pages inaccessible.
We also checked Uber Eats.
It appeared grayed out like this, so it seems delivery is not available.
Finally
It seems the Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi location opened in 2014, and the Naruo location opened in 2017. As far as we know, nothing like this has happened before. For people who went there often, this is probably a pretty worrying situation. We’ll write another article if we find out more details.
