At around 5 p.m. on August 27, I took a photo of a double rainbow stretching from Mt. Rokko toward Nishinomiya.
(Photo and information provided by Matsushii-san. Thank you!)
Here it is↓

This is the first rainbow in Nishitsu history to appear from Mt. Rokko toward Nishinomiya〜.
The photo was taken here↓
Near here is the highest shrine in Nishinomiya, which Nishitsu visited before.
In a double rainbow, the more colorful one is called the primary rainbow, while the slightly fainter one is called the secondary rainbow. The primary rainbow appears after light reflects once inside raindrops in the sky, but apparently the secondary rainbow is reflected twice.

A double rainbow is also apparently called a “futaae-niji” in Japanese. Since you can only see one when the conditions are just right, such as when the raindrops are large, it’s a rare phenomenon. And seeing it in a place like this makes it doubly lucky.
*Matsushii-san, thank you for the information!!
