It seems there will be a mikoshi portable shrine, and they’ll also be holding a photo contest featuring the mikoshi, scenes around it, and people at the festival.
Apparently, photos need to be printed in A4 size and sent by mail.
These days, photo contest entries are usually submitted digitally, so sending them by mail feels rare and nicely local!
The mikoshi departs from Takagi Hachiman Shrine at 8:00.
Even though this photo was taken at the same time as the first photo at the top, the brightness is completely different. This one feels more like dusk, which gives it more of an autumn festival vibe…
