“Summer Festival Memories” Part 2 takes us to an elevation of 194m. An elementary school where slopes are basically the norm. That’s right! It’s Kurakuen Elementary School.
This year’s summer festival was held on July 22. Let’s take a quick look back at those memories.“Summer Festival Memories” is a 7-day consecutive series reported by Kagayaki No. 509 @ Nishitsu Supporter

Even though the schoolyard is this huge, and even though the whole area around the school is full of slopes, it was packed with people and super lively.Everyone’s got so much energy~
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 18-12 Kurakuen Nibancho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

Apparently, both Kitako and Kabutoyama High School come every year, and performances by the Kitako dance club and the Kabutoyama High School light music club really got the festival going.
Kitako’s tent↓

Drinks 100 yen! Summer festivals held at schools are seriously cheap. Lots of elementary school kids were gathered around the Senbonbiki lottery too. Are there so many girls because they’re aiming for the Hello Kitty umbrella?!

Oh! They have takosen!!! Why do takoyaki and takosen go so perfectly together?

When I got closer, they were selling ramune too~ The kind in those glass bottles. The ones that make you want to get the marble out~
That was our report on the Kurakuen summer festival. I wonder which summer festival will show up tomorrow~ Let’s soak in the memories again~
