I went to an event called “Nishinomiya no Kiritorisen” held at the cafe and bar “花と寅.”
“Nishinomiya no Kiritorisen” is being held as a 1st anniversary event for “花と寅.” The walls were filled with photos by Ichida-san, who is from Nishinomiya, photos by Nishinomiya Log, and photos submitted by the public.
They said they’d like people to see the photos when visiting the shop, so the photos here are blurred… but this is what the inside looked like ↓

From 19:00 on Sunday, October 13, there will also be a talk event and live music under the theme “Nishinomiya wo Kiritoru.”

It was truly a gathering of people who love Nishinomiya! The talk by Hibiki Ichida-san and Nishinomiya Log was exactly as the title says, “Nishinomiya no Kiritorisen”… They projected photos capturing scenes of Nishinomiya and spoke about the feelings behind each one. Guest Tokumatsu Murai-san passionately talked about Himeji’s stone coffin Buddhas, and the Nishinomiya photos that interested him were the large stones at Shinrin Park and Koshikiiwa Shrine. (As expected, he loves stones💓)
Hebokure-san, who performed on the jaw harp, layered sounds from various ethnic instruments using special equipment and gave a wonderful performance that matched the atmosphere of “花と寅.”
It was so packed that there was standing room only, and apparently it will even be featured in Nishinomiya’s local magazine “Miyakko”! Great work to the MC, the editor-in-chief of the Facebook town magazine Nishinomiya.
The photo exhibition runs until Tuesday, October 29. Admission is free for all events, with a one-order minimum.
During the photo exhibition, selected photos are also being shown on a projector.
So I placed my one order too. A drinkable chestnut parfait😍 The dessert tea “Marron Mont Blanc”😊 Even the vintage glass reflects Mama-san’s attention to detail…
It was royal milk tea with chestnut flavor and chestnut whipped cream. As I got close to finishing it, there was a large candied chestnut with its inner skin still on😋 ← That’s when I understood why there was a spoon.
It really felt like drinking a chestnut parfait, and it was so satisfying. So good～(*^。^*)
