It looks like Nishinomiya residents can get up to 30,000 yen in gift cards when buying energy-saving home appliances through a campaign limited to city residents.
We’ll also introduce a trick in this article that can effectively bring a 150,000 yen item down to 100,000 yen.
Electricity bills are really high right now, so hopefully this will be useful.
Here it is↓

The eligible purchase period is from October 1 through January 31 of next year.

Here’s a quick rundown
The “Nishinomiya City Energy-Saving Appliance Purchase Support Campaign” is a Nishinomiya City initiative aimed at reducing electricity costs for Nishinomiya residents. It’s a campaign that supports the purchase of highly energy-efficient home appliances.

It’s a perfect campaign if you’re thinking, “Maybe it’s time to replace the TV.”
So, how much can you get in gift cards?
The gift card amount depends on the total purchase amount of the energy-saving appliances.
| Total purchase amount, excluding tax | Gift card |
|---|---|
| 150,000 yen or more | 30,000 yen |
| 100,000 yen to under 150,000 yen | 20,000 yen |
| 50,000 yen to under 100,000 yen | 10,000 yen |
Since it’s the total, if you buy two TVs and the total is 100,000 yen, you can receive a 20,000 yen gift card.
*Only the product price is eligible. Installation fees, delivery fees, etc. are not covered.
What kind of appliances count as energy-saving appliances?
There are 3 types of energy-saving appliances eligible for the gift cards.

- Air conditioners
- Refrigerators
- TVs
They must be one of these three types and have an energy-saving performance rating of 3 stars or higher.

Most recent home appliances probably meet the requirement. Before buying at an electronics store, try asking, “Is this a three-star energy-saving model?” or “Does this qualify for Nishinomiya City’s energy-saving appliance campaign?” Honestly, if you want to lower your electricity bill in the first place, more stars are simply better.
What kinds of gift cards can you get?
You’ll receive either points or a gift card depending on how you apply.
| Application method | Rewards available |
|---|---|
| Online | PayPay Points d POINT Amazon Gift Card au PAY Gift Card |
| By mail | Vanilla Visa Gift Card Amazon Gift Card |
If you have photos of your receipt, warranty card, and ID, you can apply just by sending them in. Online seems super easy.
Can I buy the appliances anywhere?
To receive the gift card, the appliances must be purchased at a physical store inside Nishinomiya City. Otherwise, it’s not eligible. Online shop purchases are not eligible, so be careful!
Examples of eligible stores↓

Large electronics retailers in Nishinomiya City such as Joshin, EDION, K’s Denki, and Yamada Denki.

Local neighborhood electronics shops in Nishinomiya City are, of course, also OK. And if something happens, you can quickly ask them about repairs and such.
There’s an application deadline, and it may end suddenly

【For a Limited Time】How to effectively buy a 150,000 yen appliance for 100,000 yen
For those wondering if there’s a way to make it even cheaper, here’s a limited-time trick Nishi2 looked into.
With this campaign, if you buy a 150,000 yen appliance, you can receive 30,000 yen worth of points or gift cards.
150,000 yen – 30,000 yen = effectively 120,000 yen
Now we’ll explain how to save an additional 5,000 to 25,000 yen.
The premium shopping voucher trick
Premium shopping vouchers are currently being sold in Nishinomiya City. These are the ones where if you buy 10,000 yen worth, you get 12,000 yen worth of shopping vouchers. In other words, it’s like 20% off.
With 125,000 yen in cash, you can get premium shopping vouchers worth 150,000 yen.
There may be a limit on how much one person can buy at once, so several family members may need to buy them.
The stores with electronics shops where premium shopping vouchers can currently be used are listed below (please let us know if we missed any)
- Shukugawa Denki Shokai (Shukugawa Green Town)
- Sansei Denki Shokai Neo Kaden Koshien (Koshienguchi Honwaka Shopping Street)
- Amami Denki (Komatsu Shopping Street)

The Nikkori Campaign trick
This trick can be used through October 31.

This method uses Nishinomiya City’s campaign that gives you 20% back when paying cashless. However, there is a rule that the discount is capped at 5,000 yen per payment.
For example, if you pay for a TV with PayPay and a refrigerator with d Barai, you can receive 5,000 yen + 5,000 yen, for a total of 10,000 yen back.
*Some stores do not support multiple payment methods.
From what we found, the following are included:
- Nikkori Campaign
- Atom Denki Naruo Store
- Umemoto Denki
- Otsuru Denki
- Miki Denki
- Sansei Denki Shokai Neo Kaden Koshien
- Imazu Kikuchi Denki Shokai
- Sanki Denki
- Denka Shop Q’s Club
There may be omissions, so you can search by selecting the category “Various Retail” → “Home Appliances, Furniture, Bedding, Kitchenware” on this search page.

Finally
When we looked into refrigerator electricity costs, apparently size and electricity usage don’t necessarily go hand in hand. Larger refrigerators often cost less to run than smaller ones. For details, try comparing annual electricity costs at an electronics store. So make good use of the premium shopping vouchers and this benefit, and get energy-saving appliances at a great price.
