Japan’s First “Curry Udon Koshien” Is Happening

It looks like the Japan Curry Udon Association will be holding Japan’s first “Curry Udon Koshien.”

The Japan Curry Udon Association, which has an address in Nishinomiya, will apparently be holding Curry Udon Koshien, where everyone can vote to choose the tastiest curry udon shops from curry udon restaurants across Japan.

The voting period is from Friday, September 29 to Saturday, October 28 at 23:59.

The awards ceremony is apparently on November 26, and on the day of the event there will also be an event where you can compare different curry udon dishes.

The venue seems to be the “Nishinomiya Central Wholesale Market Special Venue,” which is currently under construction, so it’ll probably be finished by then.

Finally

I feel like Banbatei, popular for its curry soba, might make it into the curry udon lineup too. There are plenty of other delicious curry udon shops around Nishinomiya, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.
