Today, Saturday, October 28, the Nishinomiya Citizens’ Festival was being held. Food booths, including kitchen cars and more, were back, so I figured it must be pretty lively!
So this time, Shachomi from Nishitsu went to check it out and report back.
Around Rokutanji Park, the festival venue. From National Route 2, Shiyakusho-mae Line was closed to traffic.
People were gathering over there.
Looks like lots of people were focused around that tent at the Second Government Building.
It was a street piano. 1:25 p.m. It looked like the secret live performance was about to begin.
The secret guest was Sumiwataru, a piano YouTuber. He came to ACTA Nishinomiya before too.
Food was back at the Nishinomiya Citizens’ Festival for the first time in four years, and this time kitchen cars were there too. There were pretty long lines.
Rice flour churros. They came in five flavors and looked easy to snack on while walking around.
Lots of classic festival-stall-style items. The taiyaki and imagawayaki were sold out.
Bokkake yakisoba. You hear about this a lot lately, don’t you? It’s made with beef tendon and konjac simmered in a sweet-and-savory sauce. This kitchen car has a shop in Uegahara Rokubancho, Nishinomiya.
They also had banh mi. There were quite a few kitchen cars with pretty unusual food options.
There was also a mixed juice kitchen car.
Miyatan’s event was a treasure hunt game.
There were panels like this in various places, and it seemed like you had to find them and collect keywords.
If you completed it, you apparently received Miyatan goods.

It looks like Miyatan appeared regularly throughout the event.
The fire truck event, which they had last time too, had little kids doing their best.
There were huge crowds around Rokutanji Park.
Things like the end of the cotton candy line. There was an incredible line.

While livestreaming, a viewer told me this place was good. It’s a premium Kuroge Wagyu hamburger steak eaten with salt.
It was Kanjirō Shōten, next to the Seven-Eleven in Nishinomiyahama. They said they read Nishitsu a lot. That made me so happy.
Apparently they also hold a Jumbo Market in Nishinomiya with really cheap meat at that shop.
The rock-salt hamburger steak was seriously delicious!! A butcher’s hamburger steak really feels meaty.
The popcorn with the same taste and aroma as Disneyland!! was only 100 yen each, which was unbelievably cheap lol.
The fries were selling like crazy too.
Looks like they’re grilling something tasty.
