I went to wash a car at “ニシキタ洗車場,” a car wash along the Yamate Kansen near Nishinomiya-kitaguchi!
Right now, as part of a collaboration with Mini Nishinomiya, Nishitsu is riding around in this MINI Cooper “Crossover”!
It’s been two months since we started driving this car, and thanks to the coating it probably hardly gets dirty at all, but still, places like the hood…
It’s hard to see in this photo, but there were some little black specks of dirt stuck on it too.
So here we are, at the brushless Nishikita Car Wash～～～.

There are more machines in the back too, with 6 car wash machines in total. A long time ago there were only 3, but it was expanded in 2019～
You drive the car straight in like this, lining it up with the yellow lines.
For where to stop the car, you’re good once the green OK light turns on.

There are 4 wash courses
- Course A Water 900 yen
- Course B Detergent + water 1100 yen
- Course C Detergent + wax + water 1200 yen
- Course D Detergent + wax + water repellent + water 1500 yen
Even after two months, the MINI is barely dirty. So I’m guessing it has a really good coating, and I figured we don’t need wax, so we’re going with Course B: detergent + water!!
You put the money into the side of the car wash machine.
B course takes about 7 minutes. Press the button and the wash begins.
The detergent sprays all over the car like pshaaaa～～～～～～.
Next, the MINI gets blasted with incredibly high-pressure water lol.

I missed it～～. I wanted to try the new machine.
Water comes down like a bucket being dumped out, washing off everything from the dirt on the windows onward.
I’m pointing at the body here, and the MINI logo area is sparkling clean.
Next is the blower. It blows the water away. Even the hair on my blond wig is fluttering like it’s about to get blown off lol.
The wind pushes the water off like this. Finally, we wipe it down.
The wipe-down area is in the parking lot across Yamate Kansen, where the Nishikita Group coin laundry and other facilities are located.
It’s the whole parking area for the laundry, rice-polishing machine, and climbing wheel～

The spots where water tends to remain after the blower are around the front and rear bumpers.
The wiping cloth I used wasn’t a dedicated one, so it seems like a good idea to buy one highly absorbent cloth in advance. There used to be an Autobacs near Life, though～
↑This chamois-style cloth absorbs water really well, so I recommend it. I seriously use it, but I forgot it this time. You can buy it on Amazon. It’s an ad link, so Nishitsu gets a little money if you buy it!
Around the license plate, maybe because it isn’t coated, there were some spots where the dirt didn’t completely come off. Looking closely, it had a striped pattern. Water stains?
The Crossover is the biggest MINI model, but its surface area still isn’t that large, so we finished wiping it down in under 10 minutes!
It was a brand-new cloth, but after wiping, it did turn a little black. Still, that means most of the dirt came off with the high-pressure wash, right?
