It’s a marathon event along the Mukogawa River. There will be 3km, 10km, and half-marathon races.
The starting point is a little south of the Hankyu overpass, and the course heads north.

Eligibility
Anyone in good health who can finish within the time limit
Capacity: Half marathon 1,000 people, 10km 1,000 people, 3km 500 people
Start times and time limits
3km: Starts at 9:30
10km: Starts at 10:10, time limit 1 hour 30 minutes
Half marathon: Starts at 12:00, time limit 2 hours 45 minutes
Entry Fee
3km: Elementary school students 1,500 yen, junior high/high school students and adults 2,500 yen
10km: High school students 2,500 yen, adults 3,500 yen
Half marathon: High school students 2,500 yen, adults 4,000 yen
Commemorative T-shirts will also be sold for 2,000 yen. It looks like you can apply for one when entering.

Finally
There are a lot of marathon events around this time of year, aren’t there? According to the 2022 records, the top woman in her 50s for the 3km finished in 14:18. The boys’ junior high school record was 9:41. I calculated what a 3-minute-per-kilometer pace is, and it comes out to 18.5 km/h! That’s about the speed of cruising comfortably on a bicycle. Amazing.
