たけふく
たけふく took first place last time. This time it came in second, but it’s clearly still a well-loved favorite!

A bowl topped with plenty of thick, melty curry sauce over katsudon, with a thick, juicy cutlet that still keeps its crispiness. And then there’s the umami. That balance is just outstanding, isn’t it? Now I’m craving it.
ピッコロ
This time, ピッコロ at Nishinomiya Hankyu made the ranking!
Nishitsu has also been there,

This is the “Piccolo W Sauce Curry.” It has “Piccolo Beef Curry” on the left and “Spicy Beef Curry” on the right, so you can enjoy two flavors on one plate. It has a somewhat nostalgic taste.
Nishinomiya Najio Service Area Inbound Food Court
※ Captured from Netorabo Research Team
It’s the “Nishinomiya Najio Service Area,” a place that’s in Nishinomiya but could also be called somewhere Nishinomiya residents don’t get to visit very often.
(A photo of Najio Service Area; not sure whether it’s inbound or outbound)
There’s something kind of tempting about service area food courts, isn’t there?

Looking at the menu, I feel like this super simple kind of food is exactly what you sometimes want to eat. Among these, the ramen looks like they might be pretty particular about it.
Finally
I think curry and katsu are the ultimate combination of two popular favorites. If you’re in the mood to say, “I really ate a hearty meal today,” definitely go grab some katsukaree.
