Seijo Ishii at Shukugawa Station seems to have stopped selling tobacco and newspapers

Tobacco sales have ended at Seijo Ishii inside Shukugawa Station.

It looks like tobacco sales ended on December 13.

It also seems that newspaper sales will end on December 28.

Finally

Tobacco and newspapers were once probably essential staple items at train stations, but these days, while you’ll see people looking at their smartphones on the train, you hardly see anyone reading a newspaper anymore. The smoking area at Shukugawa Station has also been closed for quite a while, and it will probably disappear eventually. I suppose this is just the way times are changing.
