Traffic restrictions will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the 9th, 10th, and 11th.
The darker-colored roads will become pedestrian-only streets. This includes Ebessan-suji and the area around the Chuo Shopping Street.
Changes to Hanshin Bus Stops
Dates: January 9 (Tue), 10 (Wed), and 11 (Thu)
Due to traffic restrictions on the Naruo Mikage Line, the bus stop at the south exit of Hanshin Nishinomiya Station will be closed and unavailable.
The temporary bus stop will be at the east exit of Hanshin Nishinomiya Station (near the Fudabasuji Line). The affected routes are the “Nishinomiyahama Line bound for Marina Park” and the “Nishinomiyahama-te Line bound for Hamamatsubara-cho and Izumi-cho.”

The east exit of Hanshin Nishinomiya Station is near the Fudabasuji Line.
Departure times for buses bound for “Hamate / Marina Park” will change between JR Nishinomiya Station South Exit and Hanshin Nishinomiya Station East Exit
Please check the timetable during this period by selecting the stop name below. (Departure times from Honmachi to Marina Park and within the Hamate area will not change.)
JR Nishinomiya Station South Exit ・Kokudo JR Nishinomiya Ekimae ・Nishinomiya City Hall ・ Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya Hospital ・ Hanshin Nishinomiya Station East Exit
Temporary buses from Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi will not operate

It looks like the temporary buses that used to run during Toka Ebisu from Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi to Nishinomiya Ebisu are not operating. (Apparently they have not been running since 2019.)
Check the Crowds via Live Camera
Nishinomiya Shrine has a live camera set up so you can check how crowded it is.
Here’s how it looked at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024↓

Since it was the 4th, a weekday, it was not that crowded.
Below is January 10, 2022↓

Just before 4:00 p.m. on Hon-Ebisu, the approach to the shrine was packed like this.

By the way, Ebessan-suji at 3:00 p.m. on the 9th, Yoi-Ebisu, was incredible.

This. Apparently it took 30 minutes just to get to the Akamon Gate lol
Lastly
The traffic restrictions seem to be about the same as usual. Either way, crowding reached the level where admission restrictions were put in place in 2023, so I have a feeling 2024 may be even busier. If you’re going, or if you live nearby, please be careful.
