Interior work is underway at the former site of the fried chicken specialty shop “こがね” in Fukazucho along the Yamate Kansen road.

Across the street is the road that leads toward the Hyogo Performing Arts Center.
If you go this way, you’ll find the former Nafco site, Edion, and other places.
In the opposite direction, you pass under the elevated tracks of the Hankyu Imazu Line and reach Gardens.
こがね has closed permanently
When we previously wrote about it, the article was titled “The shutters have stayed down at two こがね fried chicken locations” (July 2023). Looking into it now, the operating company “Plus One Co., Ltd.” had a bankruptcy commencement order issued in September.
So both the Naruo and Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi locations are closed.
Eco Ring is being renovated
Eco Ring had also disappeared before we knew it, but it sounds like it will be reopening after renovations.

It has apparently been temporarily closed for renovation since December 30.
Since the closure runs until January 31, the shop may reopen with a new look from February.
In closing
We still don’t know what will move into the former こがね site. Since interior work is being done at the same time, it’s hard to tell what will happen. Could it possibly become part of the same Eco Ring? If we find out anything, we’ll write another article.
