Around just before 10:00 on Saturday, February 10, Shachomi from Nishitsu went to Hakushika’s Kura-biraki brewery opening event.
Here’s a quick look at the whole thing in video form↓

There’s already this huge line~~~!!!
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 2-10 Tateishi-cho, Nishinomiya City.

Even just getting inside meant lining up like this~~~! Wow. There were so many people!!

Finally made it inside Hakushika. And right away, another line for something?!
This was the line for the lucky bags. Apparently, even people who lined up 15 minutes before opening couldn’t get one~.

They were also doing a kagami-biraki sake barrel opening, and we got some free sake too~.
This time, the food and drink booths were back for the first time in three years,

and the lines for Grill Ippei and Daiki Suisan were huge! Higashitsuru was also selling things like grilled skate fin and grilled mezashi sardines~

This line was for limited-edition sake to take home.

They were selling three kinds like this~

This was the tasting line. It was so long I thought, “Is this Universal Studios?”

While we were waiting, they had the familiar Choi-nomi Stamp Rally sheets posted, and I got my first stamp~

It seems even Hakushika had more visitors today than they expected~.

Here are the sake varieties available for tasting this time. Junmai daiginjo. Dry junmai genshu. Each one had a completely different flavor, and personally, I liked No. 1 best because it had such a nice aroma. It sold out partway through
So I thought there were three kinds to taste, but…

It turns out Hakushika had made a sake using the yeast from this “shidare-zakura” weeping cherry tree~.
Its name is “Hanakotoba.”

The moment I drank it, the flavor really made me think, “Is this sakura-flavored?!” Impressive. Of course, it was a limited-edition sake. Wait, you can’t buy it anymore?
And for the food booths,

there was Daiki Suisan, famous for sushi!! They sold out once and ended up having to bring more from Ebista and the Uozaki location.

And this fried shrimp from Grill Ippei was seriously amazing. It was so popular that all of their items were sold out before 13:00~

We ran into Hakushika’s Hakushika-chan! Now that I think about it, a white deer really is super cute.

Another mysterious line had formed~~!!

They were doing gacha capsules~~!!

It was a Furumai Gacha~
For 500 yen, every prize was sake worth at least 500 yen. That’s what you call a seriously generous deal. A blowout bargain really means this lol

Hakushika’s Kura-biraki was so much fun~. We’ll also be posting a video of what it was like this time~.
Nishinomiya’s brewery opening season has only just begun! See you again next week
