Previously, Nishitsu lost something.

It was the “collaboration sticker” on the MINI Cooper we’ve been driving as part of our collaboration with MINI Nishinomiya.
We had two of them stuck on the car, one on each side, and had been driving around like that, but…

On March 1, one of them fell off… the one on the left side.

So this time, we went to Nishinomiya Police Station to see if our lost item had been turned in.

Here’s how it works: at Nishinomiya Police Station, the person in charge of lost items asks you the following. (At a koban police box, it would be a police officer.) (By the way, apparently lost items are handled by the accounting section at the police.)
- Name
- Address
- Mobile phone number
- Home phone number (if you have one)
- When you noticed the item was missing
- The lost item’s “size, color, and distinguishing features”
Those who’ve done this before will probably understand, but honestly, going to the police station and explaining all this is kind of a hassle, right?

But no worries anymore!
【You can file a lost item report online – Accounting Section】From March 1, 2024, you can report lost items from home using a smartphone or computer, without going to a police station or koban.

Since March 1, you can now file a lost item report online!

In addition to belongings, you can also report animals here.
You can do it from here.
By the way, searching for lost items has already been available for a while ↓

For example, you can search for cash, bags, wallets, and other items on this page. Animals too.

You can still file a lost item report at the police station, but apparently it takes about 20 minutes to enter everything, so if you’re able to do it quickly online, we recommend filing the report without going to the police station. Oh, and if your item is found, you’ll need to go pick it up at the police station.
Oh, and my sticker still hasn’t been found. Info wanted
