It’s in Ashiya, but the bicycle shop “Daiwa Cycle Ashiya” has opened along National Route 2.
(Thanks to Wanko-san for the tip.)
This is what it looked like on opening day. It seems to have opened on April 5. If you buy your bike here, the free on-site service call fee could be pretty handy. After all, taking a flat tire all the way to a shop is kind of strange to begin with.

They also seem to be holding an opening sale until Thursday, April 25, with 10,000 yen off electric bicycles, plus deals on city bikes, sports bikes, and more.
A familiar sight at bicycle shops: rows and rows of bikes out front.
There are also five parking spaces, which is convenient.
Here’s the map↓
The address is 8-1 Kasugacho, Ashiya, Hyogo.
The supermarket “F.F. MARCHE Ashiya” used to be here, but it seems to have closed at some point.
What’s around “Daiwa Cycle Ashiya”

Across the street is an ENEOS gas station.

↑ If you go this way, there’s a “McDonald’s” next door, and farther along you’ll find “Kentucky Fried Chicken,” “Nigiri Chojiro,” “Gusto,” and more.
If you go in the opposite direction, there’s the steakhouse “Volks” and “2nd STREET,” and at the former site of “TSUTAYA Shukugawa,” the bicycle shop “Cycle Base Asahi” is scheduled to open on Friday, May 24.
Final thoughts
With Cycle Base Asahi also opening on the opposite side of the road, the number of bicycle shops has suddenly increased. Will it turn into Team Daiwa vs. Team Asahi, kind of like the Takenoko vs. Kinoko snack rivalry?
