There’s a story called “The Monster Char” in Manga Nihon Mukashibanashi, where the master char living in a river disguises itself as a human. I still remember how it gave off this eerie vibe because it couldn’t quite hide how fish-like it was. These days, I find myself wanting to collect photos of all the animal “masters” around Nishinomiya.
