Area around “お茶の菓さいさい”
If you go this way, you’ll find Kansai Super, TAOCA COFFEE, Seven-Eleven, and other spots, heading toward Kurakuen.
In the opposite direction, there’s Neu Cafe, the sandwich and bakery shop “ココ,” and more, leading toward Kitashukugawa-dori.
When we went to take photos on June 19, the signboard and other fixtures had already been removed.
お茶の菓さいさい was a shop specializing in hojicha sweets. We had previously featured it on Nishitsu as well.

The shop was always filled with the wonderful aroma of hojicha.
Lastly
They sold a wide range of hojicha sweets, including hojicha-flavored madeleines, monaka wafers, pudding, and gelato, so some of you may have bought them as souvenirs or gifts. Shops specializing in hojicha sweets are quite rare, so it’s sad to see this one close.
