It looks like freshly fried croquettes from Kobe Motomachi’s “森谷商店” will be sold at “阪神にしのみや” today, Friday, June 28.
Here it is↓

The “森谷のコロッケ” from the popular Kobe Motomachi shop known for its lines will apparently be sold in a limited quantity of 500.
They’re 128 yen each, and they’ll be freshly fried.
What are Moriya’s croquettes?
森谷商店 appears to be a long-established butcher shop founded in Meiji 6 (1873). To sum it up, it’s like this:
- There’s always a long line in front of the shop
- The wait is about 5 to 10 minutes or so (at the main store)
- Extremely popular with both locals and tourists
- The croquettes have a “crispy coating” and a “melty, creamy filling”
- Affordable prices and high quality
I saw reviews saying things like “freshly fried ones are divine,” “if you go to Kobe, you absolutely have to try them,” “there’s always a line,” and “the best croquette I’ve ever had,” so now I’m pretty curious.
Other flyer details↓
I haven’t had simmered flatfish in a while, so I want some. Oh, and I personally buy Koiwai’s 100% raw milk yogurt a lot. I like that it has no strong aftertaste. Eating it with frozen blueberries and stuff makes me feel like it’s really good for my skin and gut
Watermelon sounds nice.
Here’s one I bought at 阪神にしのみや before↓

It’s probably a different variety from the one I ate before, but I’m sure it’ll be sweet and good.
The produce section has been renovated and looks really nice now.
In Closing
I wonder how quickly 500 croquettes will sell out. Let’s say each person buys an average of 3. In that case, they’d sell out after 166 people. If one person buys per minute, that’s 166 minutes, so about two and a half hours. Since they open at 10:00, they might be gone by around noon if it’s fast. That’s just speculation though, so take it only as a rough guess🙏
