Today, July 12, the summer festival is being held at Hiyoshi Shrine. It looks like there are even more visitors than last year. KAZU, a Nishitsu supporter, is here to share what it’s like. If you’re planning to go later, or tomorrow, this should be helpful.

It’s not often you see a line stretching all the way from the torii gate. This torii was built in 1714. That was during the time of Tokugawa Ietsugu, who became the 7th shogun at the youngest age of 5 and also died at the youngest age in history, at 8. 400 years of history.
Here it is on the map ↓
The address is 8 Tsuto Ogacho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

I see. That was the line for festival tickets.

Yukata and all that really give it that summer festival feel.

They’re grilling frankfurters.

Toys, candy assortments, candy scooping, and lottery draws. So cheap. The pandas and dogs have that nice local festival vibe.

Cotton candy is 100 yen. Still as cheap as ever.

Super ball scooping and yo-yo fishing.

It’ll get even more fun once it starts getting dark. The festival runs until 8:00 p.m. It will also be held tomorrow, the 13th. Other shrine festivals in the city are listed below ↓
