First, regarding the monkey sightings, one suddenly appeared in Nishinomiya on August 6.
Before getting into the details, here is this:
Residents in the area should take the following precautions.
1. Do not feed monkeys or show them food
Try not to leave food items, such as kitchen waste, outside.
2. Do not approach monkeys
If you reach out your hand, you may be bitten or scratched. If you encounter a monkey, leave the area without provoking it.
3. Make sure to lock up properly
Monkeys may enter homes even through second-floor windows, so please be careful.
8/6 around 7:30 a.m. in Fushihara-cho

Near 1 Fushihara-cho. It is a little puzzling that it suddenly appeared here. Had it been seen before but not reported, or did it really make it all the way here without being spotted by chance?
8/6 around 10:30 a.m. at JR Koshienguchi

It says JR Koshienguchi. Was it inside the station? I’m curious. From Fushihara-cho, it is as much as 3.2 km if you follow the Hankyu and JR railway lines. That distance seems a bit tough for a monkey to travel in three hours… Apparently they generally move about 1 to 2 km per day
8/6 around 12:10 p.m. at Naruo Water Purification Plant

The city’s page says Naruohama Water Purification Plant, but I think it is probably Naruo Water Purification Plant. It is about 1 km from nearby Koshienguchi Station by a simple route. Probably somewhere around the left side of this photo.
8/6 around 12:15 p.m. at Naruo Water Purification Plant

Right next to Naruohama Water Purification Plant. It moved to Mukogawa Women’s University Koshien Campus in five minutes.
8/6 around 2:26 p.m.
It is heading south. It must have been walking along the Mukogawa River.
8/7 around 5:55 a.m. at Minami Muko Bridge
Further south.

Near Minami Muko Bridge. In a straight line from the Naruo water purification plant mentioned earlier, it is about 2.6 km.
About 20 minutes later, it moved to Doi-cho in Amagasaki, then to Daimotsu on the 8th, and on the 9th to around the Kanzaki River in Kuise. After that, its whereabouts became unknown. It is believed to have crossed into Osaka.
