It looks like the “12th Oshi Pan Grand Prix” is currently being held at DONQ shops across Japan.
(Info provided by Sasako @ Nishitsu SP)
Here it is↓

12th Oshi Pan Grand Prix
When is it happening?
Until September 23 (Mon)
Where is it happening?
At DONQ shops across Japan
What kind of Grand Prix is it?
The “best DONQ bread in Japan” will be decided based on things like the number sold of each shop’s original bread, or “oshi pan”, currently available at DONQ shops nationwide〜! *Apparently there won’t be online voting this year.
There are 3 DONQ shops in Nishinomiya↓
- Nishinomiya Hankyu Shop

Crispy Cheese Tomato
A crispy cheese bread filled with tomato sauce and sausage. - Hanshin Nishinomiya Shop

Melty Cheese Curry – Made with Honey –
A curry bread with cheese and a hint of honey. - LaLaport Koshien Shop

Honey Apple and Cream Cheese
A pull-apart bread filled with honey-marinated apples and cream cheese.
As someone who personally loves savory breads, I’m torn between Nishinomiya Hankyu’s “Crispy Cheese Tomato” and Hanshin Nishinomiya’s “Melty Cheese Curry”〜〜😄
You can check out the “oshi pan” from shops nationwide on the special page→here
Finally
DONQ’s annual “Oshi Pan Grand Prix” is back again. Last year, Nishinomiya Hankyu’s bread brilliantly won the top spot in Japan〜👏😆 Since it’s local to Nishinomiya, it definitely makes you want to cheer them on, doesn’t it? If you happen to be near one of the shops, why not buy one and take part in the voting〜?
*Thank you, Sasako @ Nishitsu SP, for the information!!
