*About 200m from the shrine to the otabisho. The procession makes a round trip with the ceremony in between.

According to Pon-chan, who sent us the information, the scene where seven danjiri floats charge up the slope one by one and enter the shrine grounds is incredibly powerful. The banzai cheers and crackers after all the danjiri have entered are apparently enough to give you goosebumps, so this is definitely a festival you’ll want to see at least once. 😄 Also, be sure to check out “Nishinomiya Yamaguchi Arukinare 2024,” an event where you can actually touch the danjiri floats that will be carried this time.
