Iihyea Net’s “Best Places to Live Ranking 2024
From the special compilation materials for the Best Places to Live Ranking: City Happiness & Cities People Want to Keep Living In Ranking 2024
In the Cities People Want to Keep Living In (municipality) ranking, Nishinomiya came in 2nd, right after Ashiya.
But it ranked 1st for both attachment and desire to live there.
In short, people who live in Nishinomiya and people who don’t both seem to really love the city. It’s popular.
And on top of that,

The number of responses was overwhelmingly high. By the way, the second highest was Takatsuki City, and third was Akashi City.
This might be a sign of just how strong people’s attachment to Nishinomiya really is. We get messages from people who have moved away saying things like “I still read Nishitsu,” so there really are a lot of people who love Nishinomiya.
And then there’s this.

In the top 20 stations people want to keep living near ranking, 40% were stations in Nishinomiya.
- Koyoen Station
- Hanshin-Kokudo Station
- Koshienguchi Station
- Kotoen Station
- Sakura Shukugawa Station
- Imazu Station
- Koshien Station
- Kurakuenguchi Station
Hanshin-Kokudo was ranked 21st last year and missed the list, but apparently it made a sharp jump this year.

There’s a new hospital being built,

and best of all, it’s just one stop from Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station (Hankyu) and Imazu Station (Hanshin).
Plus, JR Nishinomiya Station is also close enough to walk to if you want, so it’s in a great location with access to all three lines: Hankyu, Hanshin, and JR. There’s also Royal Home Center, and if a supermarket opens there, Hanshin-Kokudo might actually become extremely popular.
