A Student-Run NPO! “Brain Humanity,” Born from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake

Located just a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station, “Specified Nonprofit Corporation Brain Humanity” is an organization that began through recovery support efforts after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.

Believe it or not, this organization is mainly run by university students! From elementary school children to high school and university students, it provides places where children can learn and grow✨

What Is “Burehyu Camp,” Where Kids Can Experience Nature? 🏕

“Burehyu Camp,” which children from preschool age through junior high school can enjoy, is a program where kids can fully experience nature while working together.

List of Events Held

• Satapro Town Exploration（a day-trip event where teams work together to take on missions）
• First-Time Camp（an overnight camp for preschoolers through lower elementary school students）
• Ieshima Desert Island Camp（a survival experience on an uninhabited island!）
• Mt. Fuji Climbing Camp（a challenge program aiming to reach the summit of Mt. Fuji）
• Ski Camp（a winter event where kids enjoy skiing in the snowy mountains）

And more, with a huge variety of activities!

“First-Time Camp” also offers a one-night camp for preschoolers and younger elementary school children, making it perfect for a child’s first outdoor experience.

Warm Meals at Nishinomiya Children’s Cafeteria 🍚

“Nishinomiya Children’s Cafeteria” opens every Monday. With menus created by nutrition students from nearby universities, it offers handmade meals for 100 yen per serving, limited to 20 meals per day.

For children, having a warm meal and a place where they belong is really important, isn’t it? 😊

A Place for Junior and Senior High School Students at Youth Center Hygge 🎲

“Youth Center Hygge” is a place where junior and senior high school students can casually drop by after school or on days off. Here, they can play board games together, relax at the cafe, and freely do the things they want to do!

Actively Involved in Disaster-Area Support

At Brain Humanity, university student staff carry out support activities on-site when disasters occur. During the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and heavy rain disasters, they continued supporting affected areas by listening to concerns at evacuation shelters and identifying people who needed assistance as part of recovery support.
