An acquaintance’s wedding. Their family hadn’t accepted their marriage, so it was a ceremony for just the two of them. The people at the church that served as the venue wanted to make the day special, so we gave them a wedding cake. That cake was from Da Vinci. It was an elegant white cake decorated with strawberries, and it was filled with warmth.

I used to buy cakes there often when my child was little. Back then, the shop was in Futami-cho. If you went late in the evening, they sometimes gave you one extra as a little bonus, didn’t they? I moved away recently, so I hadn’t been able to visit much… Congratulations on opening in Miyakojima. I’m cheering you on from the bottom of my heart.
