I’m far too sad about this. Even after becoming an adult, the times I went out with my elderly father and ate ice cream there were treasures to me, and I’m filled with sadness that a place full of memories with my late father is disappearing. Even when passing by by car, seeing young families and children inside the shop was such a heartwarming and happy sight. Maybe it’s because of the development at the former Shukugawa Junior College site above Koshikiiwa Shrine, but the magnificent trees and the cherry blossoms that bloomed beautifully every year were cut down in no time, and the sight is painful. The scenery around Horaku Park has changed too. I’m not clinging to memories, but Nishinomiya these days feels lonely whenever I’m reminded of them.

On the way home from kindergarten, when my parents picked me up instead of taking the kindergarten bus, this place was on the way and I remember begging them to stop by. That was about 30 years ago now. Thank you for all these many years.

I’d been going to this Baskin-Robbins since around the time I moved to Nishinomiya. It’s sad to see it go. From now on, I’ll be going to the Baskin-Robbins at Corowa.

Since the shop had been around since as far back as 30 years ago, I’m sure there are quite a lot of people who used to go there. I’ve also bought ice cream and ice cream cakes from this Baskin-Robbins several times… and I’ve eaten there with my children too. It brings back all kinds of memories. It really is sad. To everyone at the shop, thank you so much!
