When Nishitsu first started, we used our own savings to hire members and went all out covering stories and turning them into articles for free. But those savings have now run out, and at this point we are barely keeping things going thanks to the kindness of our supporters.
There are so many fun events, new shops, and buzzworthy stories in Nishinomiya, and we want to share them with you. But because we handle the reporting and coverage without compensation, lately we’ve been running into things like:
- Covering three events back-to-back → but ending up with zero reports…
- Sitting there at 2 a.m. with only a pile of photos and no idea where to start
- Having no energy left to write the articles

We Can’t Get Past the Break-Even Line
It’s been six years since we started. Thanks to the tremendous support of our members, supporters, and readers, Nishinomiya Tsushin has become much more widely known. We’re truly grateful, and compared to the early days, we now receive far more advertising placements than before! Thank you!
Even so, when we add up the income from the image ads placed around the article text, which admittedly make articles harder to read, along with sponsored article income from Nishinomiya companies and shops, we still fall far short of the break-even line. To be honest, we’re reaching the limits of what we can keep doing.
