“Umaimon Shokuzai Ichiba” on the B1 floor of Frente Nishinomiya just reopened after renovations on Sunday, June 1, and Karu-kawa, a Nishitsu reader, went to check it out for us!
It looks like this now. The former greengrocer, grocery section, and meat shop Ushiwakaya area have been opened up into one huge, spacious sales floor! 😂

The walls inside the triangular island in the center(the area shaped like this: ⊿) have been removed, turning it into one large area!
So many delicious summer fruits 🍉💕
The daikon is so cheap!
It’s the season for making ume preserves and pickled rakkyo〜☔
The areas for seasonings and ready-to-eat retort pouch foods have expanded a lot too ✨️
The meat section is well stocked too!!
Loads of instant foods too!

Before, they handled checkout with just one register, and the line area was pretty cramped. After the renovation, they now use two registers during busy times! The space for lining up is also much wider and easier to understand 😄
Next to the checkout line area, there’s plenty of “nice meat” and “bargain vegetables.” There are so many tempting things you’ll want to toss into your basket while you wait 💕
This caught my eye! It wasn’t running yet, but there was a roasted sweet potato machine in front of the registers 🍠💕 It definitely felt like the day when that delicious roasted sweet potato aroma fills the shop is coming soon ☺️
Lots of snacks too〜🍭🍫😍
Canned goods, dried foods, dashi, miso, and more! Anyway, seriously! It was an incredibly well-stocked sales floor ✨️✨️
My personal recommendations! Golden kiwis and shiso leaves!! You can’t get golden kiwis at this price at a supermarket 😭 The shiso leaves were fresh, big, packed in a large amount, and such a bargain 😳😍✨️
The bagging tables are wider now too, so you can use them with more space. The plastic bags are hung beside the tables, so you can take them yourself. Between the registers and the bagging tables, the only divider is a column, and for elderly customers or people who looked like they might have trouble carrying things, the cashier moved their baskets for them 😊
Together with the Coop across the way, the basement floor of Frente has become even more fun for shopping. As shoppers, it’s always nice to have more good deals〜😆 Why not stop by and check it out?
