It looks like it will be located in Building No. 2 of “Aming Shioe West,” which is just east of Amagasaki Q’s Mall in front of JR Amagasaki Station.
It seems to be a commercial facility that also houses Fashion Center Shimamura, Can Do, Holly’s Cafe, and more.

Apparently, there used to be a “Hankyu Oasis” on the first floor here, but it closed in February this year. It seems likely that Valor will move into that space.
What is the supermarket “Valor”?

“valor(バロー)” is a supermarket originally from Gifu Prefecture, mainly operating in the Tokai and Hokuriku areas. In Kansai, it has stores in Shiga, Osaka, and Nara, and this appears to be its first store in Hyogo Prefecture.
We’ve put together some of the features of Valor that stood out in reviews below 👇
- A wide selection of private-label products at reasonable prices
- Fresh produce and fresh foods. The fish section is particular about sourcing, and the sushi is said to be delicious. The “maguro nigiri sushi” has become a topic on social media for its large toppings and reasonable price.
*The presence and size of the fresh fish section seems to vary by store - A wide variety of prepared foods, with rice balls and croquettes at surprisingly low prices
- At the in-store bakery “Hokuo Club,” you can buy freshly baked bread at reasonable prices
(Apparently the Hokuo butter shokupan is delicious) - They also carry local products from the Tokai region, which are rare to find in Kansai

Lastly
Recently, supermarkets from the Kanto area such as Lopia and OK have been expanding into Nishinomiya, but “Supermarket Valor” seems to have stores only in the Tokai and Hokuriku areas, plus part of Kansai. This new store will be in neighboring Amagasaki, but since it’s a supermarket that’s still a bit unusual around here, we wanted to introduce it.
