Nishinomiya’s abandoned bicycle pickup fee to increase from July 1

A sharp price increase from July 1

Until now, it was…1,800 yen for bicycles／3,500 yen for mopeds, but it will become 3,000 yen for bicycles／6,000 yen for mopeds.
（Applies to vehicles removed on or after July 1, Reiwa 7）

That’s nearly double.

There are only two return stations

The return station depends on the area where the bicycle was left.

• Kawaragi Bicycle Return Station
  
  Stations along the Hankyu Line, JR Koshienguchi, Sakura Shukugawa, etc.

• Kusugawa Bicycle Return Station

The reception desk is open only on weekdays from 13:00 to 18:30. Bring your key, ID, and the relocation/storage fee.

Storage is for about one month

After one month, it becomes subject to disposal. Your bicycle will disappear.

Not only is the fee becoming nearly double, but going to pick it up is also quite a hassle. Leaving your bike parked illegally comes with guilt too, and it feels like a waste to have it removed and then pay a high fee. Bicycle parking lots aren’t that expensive, so I think choosing the safer, more reliable option is the way to go.
